As someone who’s never been the biggest fan of running, there’s something about the Great North Run (GNR) that keeps pulling me back. Maybe it’s the sheer scale—60,000 runners of all abilities, each with their own story and many running for incredible causes. Or maybe it’s the unbeatable support from the crowds lining the 13.1-mile route from Newcastle to South Shields. Even yesterday’s torrential rain couldn’t dampen the spirits of the thousands who came out to cheer us on!
This year, I was proud to once again run in support of Martin House Children’s Hospice, a cause close to my heart. I pushed myself to the limit and crossed the finish line with a time of 1:49:11.
A huge thank you to everyone who has already donated! If you’d still like to support Martin House, there’s time to do so via the link: Support Here
Already looking forward to doing it all again in 2025!
